Everything in this universe have start and end ,so when it comes to the our solar system our doomsday will be cause by sun.
Since sun has 99.6 % percentage of mass contribution in our solar system. It generally have high gravity towards its core,so this means that the core should have been collapse ,but the thing that saves is the formation of helium due to nuclear fusion happening at the core and emitting energy outside making it stable.
But after 5 billion years all your h2 molecule will totally be converted to helium atoms.
from there the catastrophic begins .It is because for helium nuclear fusion we need 100 million kelvin which is 10 times the temperature of sun's core , this leads to a diffusion of helium to hydrogen and a thin white layer is formed and a cycle of formation and diffusion of helium will happen , this till makes the star stable but since all of its mass was burned out the gravity pull to the outer layer of sun will reduces ,thus the outer layer starts to expand slowly and the color changes from yellow to orange and finally end up with red after 1-2 billion years the sun will will 10 times bigger than its original size and become a red giant.
After that a huge blast will happen causing all masses present in the sun except the core to escape and the core starts to compress at a size of earth with 100000 times gravity than earth.
This blast is termed as planetary nebula and this blast will happen 100 million years after the depletion of white shelf . this core is termed as white dwarf and will exists for billions of years till it run out fuel.
